Niacin (B3) Deficiency Linked to Glaucoma

Hey everybody, it’s Dr. Sam and I’m on my morning walk and I wanted to talk to you today about glaucoma.

There’s a new study out that links low levels of niacin, better known as vitamin B3, and open-angle glaucoma. So one of the ways to reduce your risks of developing glaucoma is to eat foods that are rich in vitamin B3. These include foods like legumes, mushrooms, organic chicken, and grass-fed beef.

So here’s another strategy in your overall protocol for improving eye health, especially if you’ve been diagnosed with glaucoma.
