Long Swings (Eye Exercise)

Purpose

Long Swings develop and improve peripheral vision.

Equipment Needed

An open space to stand

When to Perform

5 Minutes twice a day

How to Perform

1) Stand in an open area with plenty of space.

2) Plant your feet let your arms hang by your side and gently rotate your body from side to side.

3) Keep your hips, torso, shoulders, head and neck in line as you swing side to side.

4) Keep your eyes open and focus on the horizon as the world passes by.

  • Variation 1: Change the speed of your swing.
  • Variation 2: Refocus your gaze to look over each shoulder.
  • Variation 3: Widen your stance and perform the swings with your eyes closed.

5) If you start to feel dizzy, stop, sit down and do the palming exercise until you feel comfortable.
