Well, there was an interesting research paper published in 2005 in the Journal of International Society in Sports Nutrition. The authors looked at the relationship between fitness and exercise and developing oxidative stress.
They found an association between increased physical exercise and free radical damage. Now, I’m not recommending you don’t exercise, there is an enormous body of evidence showing its beneficial effects for our health.
However, there are ways you can protect against oxidative stress if you have high levels of physical activity. In this article, they associated that one way to reduce oxidative stress is to increase glutathione intake.
So in fitness, when we develop oxidative stress, it can increase soreness, recovery time, and peak performance. One way to improve both of these things is to boost your glutathione levels.
So my takeaway is that athletes may greatly benefit from boosting their glutathione levels. And of
