November 3, 2017 - Eye Exercises
Purpose
Eye scans can help reduce staring in everyday life, and remind us the importance deep breathing and connecting with the environment.
When to Perform
2 times a day
How to Perform
1) Sitting in chair take 3 slow breaths with your eyes closed in through the nose out through the mouth. Continue to breathe deeply throughout the exercise.
2) Open your eyes, focus on an object and follow the lines on the object. You can do this horizontally and vertically.
3) Then refocus your gaze on a different item in the room. These should be relaxed movements and feel as if you are painting with your gaze.
4) Continue to switch your gaze from object to object, moving your eyes without staring in place.
