Hey everybody, it’s Dr. Sam, I want to welcome you to another EyeClarity Podcast. Today I want to talk about the healing benefits of Black Cumin. This is an essential oil that has been found to be very supportive of our health, our vision, and our immune system. It’s been called the blessed seed. It originates from Egypt. And it’s an ancient plant that has been shown to be able to help support our immune health and much more. Some of the fast facts about black cumin include its 21% protein 35%, polyunsaturated fats. So it’s a great source of essential fatty acids. And we know how important Omega three essential fatty acids are. They’re an anti-inflammatory agent.

They support brain nerve, eye health, and many other things. black cumin also contains beta carotene biotin, which is very important for stabilizing your blood sugar levels. It also contains the trace minerals magnesium and selenium. We know that most people are deficient in magnesium and magnesium is very supportive for our heart health, our nerves or our muscles. Selenium is important as a relationship partner to glutathione as we know is an important immune booster on its own. black cumin also contains folic acid, which is supportive for our brain or nerves and our skin contains B vitamins, vitamin E, and zinc. I first discovered black cumin about 15 years ago and I was working with some autistic kids who had tested pretty high for heavy metal toxicity. And in my protocol of reducing heavy metals with these kids, black cumin was one of the essential oils I recommended. So in terms of what form you can get this essential oil into your body. There are a couple of different ways you can get a salve. You can get the black cumin in capsules. And the way I take it is I get black cumin oil. One of my favorite techniques is to make a black cumin eye compress or I take one tablespoon of black cumin seeds I crushed them. I put them in a cup of water I heat the water to boil let it sit for about 10 minutes. And then I can use a soft cloth to make a compress over the eyes.

And people have reported to me less dry, less inflammation in the eyelids and even supports retina circulation and it can reduce computer eye strain.

We’ve been dealing with a lot of fires this summer here in the desert southwest and I have used black cumin as a way to bathe and support my respiratory health. One of the simple procedures is using an inhalation technique where you take maybe six or eight drops and you put it on your hands and then you can cover your mouth and nose and you can breathe the black cumin through your nose and it will stimulate and support your respiratory health. As I said, black cumin is really wonderful for immune boosting the way I take The black comb and as I do about six to eight drops in a cup of water in the morning.

And again, it’s very, very helpful at supporting immune health. Now two companies that I recommend, and I get no financial back benefit from recommending these companies, but these are companies that I personally use, and I find them to be very, very high quality, they test their oils. The source of their oils is from farmers, who are using some process of either organic or biodynamic farming techniques. Lotus garden botanicals, and the other company is still playing aromatics, he can’t go wrong with either either of them and they both will be able to supply you with black cumin oil. So, two thumbs up for black cumin I highly recommend it as an essential oil by the way. I’ve actually used it on my hair, my skin, my nails, it’s really great makes everything really shiny. And with all the trace minerals and things in black cumin it’s really great for your skin, hair and nail health. So that’s our show for today. I wish you all the best. Thanks for tuning in. Until next time, take care.
