Hey folks, it’s Dr. Sam. I received a question today from a group of motorcyclists. They want to know what are the best lenses to wear to protect their eyes?
Well, what I would recommend is:
- Start off with either getting a gray tint, which doesn’t discolor things.
- Or a brown tint, which gives a little more contrast when you’re driving.
- If you want to get something called a photochromic lens. This actually lightens up in dark conditions, and of course, it darkens down in light conditions.
- Make sure you get things like a reflective coating. You can actually even get some coatings to protect your eyes against water, oil, and grease.
And in terms of goggles, a lot of that depends on your helmet. But you want to make sure you have maximum protection especially if you have an open-ended helmet.
So that’s my message for today. Take care.
