Women who are pregnant and take acetaminophen have a higher risk of having baby girls with language delays.
I want to talk to you about a study that was reported in the European Journal of Psychiatry. A group of pregnant women who used Tylenol analgesics to reduce pain were found to have a higher risk of having baby girls who were diagnosed with language delays.
There was also another study that was reported in JAMA Pediatrics. This was a study done in Denmark and it found that pregnant women who took acetaminophen had a higher risk of having children diagnosed with A.D.H.D.
So in terms of reducing pain during pregnancy, my recommendation would be to look for natural remedies and avoid over-the-counter painkillers. Here are some options:
- Try using primrose oil in the evening. I would start off with a dose of about 500 milligrams. Prior to use, be sure to check with your doctor if you’re taking medication for mental illness or if you bleed easily.
- Use these three essential oils. To reduce pain, there are three essential oils that come to mind. Birch, spruce, and lavender oil. These three can help alleviate pain and inflammation.
- Another technique I use is the cold-hot-cold method. This involves using the essential peppermint oil, which is a cooling oil. I follow this by birch, which is a warming oil. Then I finish with the cooling peppermint oil. This combination can also be effective at reducing pain and inflammation.
- Increase your magnesium levels
- Consider taking a warm Epsom salt bath
- Eat more bone broth. Bone broth is packed full of minerals and ingredients that can help reduce pain and chronic inflammation.
- Boost your probiotic and enzyme intake. This can help address the inflammatory response in your intestinal system.
Overall, a holistic approach to health is much more effective at reducing pain and come without the developmental delay side effects of over-the-counter painkillers.
